Poor storage can result in damage to the equipment through contaminants entering the equipment. This can result in the equipment failing in a situation where a worker falls.
So how should you store equipment? Easy- As per the manufacturers specifications!
In our height safety and confined space training courses we regularly use gear such as harnesses, slings, carabiners, rope grabs, shock packs and rope.

The manufacturers of our harnesses specify storage should be done as follows:
It’s the small things done daily that help keep us safe, so please make sure you always store your height safety equipment as per the manufacturers specifications.
